Audiologist

I started my professional life working for an incredibly talented Civil Engineer. It was there I discovered my love of overcoming difficult challenges and solving complex problems. I even envisioned myself following in his footsteps and began working towards a Civil Engineering career. But when I witnessed the frustration and isolation experienced by a young personal friend of mine with a communication disorder, I knew I wanted to have a greater impact on individual lives.

Some people are motivated by changing the world. For me, changing the life of a single person moves me in ways I could never have imagined. Seeing the eyes of a child light up at the discovery of a new sound; Restoring the confidence of a professional to actively participate in group discussions; Bringing the precious sound of a grandchild's voice back to the ears of a grateful grandparent. If someone had told me as a young woman that each day I go to work I'd have the joy of experiencing these life altering moments, I wouldn't have believed them. Yet here I am...
